PROJECT COORDINATOR
Sarah Cole Interiors is a high end residential interior design firm located in Newton, MA. We are seeking a part time Project Coordinator to work in person at our Newton Highlands office. We love what we do and what we offer our clients, and we’re looking for someone who is eager to help deliver the products and service we provide our clients! Candidates must be incredibly organized with a strong knowledge of Studio Designer. Knowledge of Studio Designer is essential. Applicants should possess excellent project management skills, enjoy working collaboratively and have effective communication skills. Prior work experience in the design industry is required, as is knowledge of design processes, including FF&E, specifications, finish and material selections, custom furniture, custom window treatments, custom cabinetry and how to write detailed purchase orders and proposals according to our company standards. This is not an entry level position. Applicants must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity. A college degree is required. Prior work experience as a project manager or project coordinator in the interior design industry is preferred. Proficiency with Asana, Google Drive, Adobe and Canva is also preferred. This is not a position for someone who wishes to pursue a career in interior design or transition to a design position. This is a 1099 contractor position, potentially with the opportunity to join our staff in the future. Responsibilities include the following. Responsibleness include:
Working collaboratively with our team to create and maintain project schedules
Maintaining budget spreadsheets
Drafting proposals and purchase orders
Maintaining product information for internal use and for use at project job sites
Reviewing contractor and vendor documents
Communicating effectively and efficiently with vendors
Tracking orders and creating installation schedules
Generating reports related to project schedules and timelines
Overseeing multiple projects of varying complexity
Tracking product related expenses
Communicating with our team with Asana, Google Drive and Studio Designer
Assisting with maintaining project records.
