Harrison Victorian

One of our most colorful projects to date, this family of six craved a home that was less Victorian and more contemporary and relaxed. They wanted family friendly spaces that felt bold and energetic. On multiple floors we took advantage of the home’s original rounded turret. In the basement, which was completely renovated, we added a spacious lounging area and wallpapered the turret area to create a space for games or reading. In the bedroom that contained the turret, we lined the area with custom drapery on a curved rod to create a backdrop for the bed.

Throughout the house, bold pops of color and high contrast materials, like black and white tile in the bathroom, make every room pop. Selected furnishings were a mix of transitional and modern so that the clients’ desire for a more contemporary home were satisfied, but the modern pieces did not feel out of place in the home.
